Maple water is the pure sap of maple trees, formed as water from snow-melt runs miles underground from the Adirondack, Taconic and Berkshire mountain ranges in the Eastern Americas.
The Maple tree’s deep tap root - running miles below the surface - draws this water up through the tree.
Once in the tree, it gains anti-oxidants; anti-inflammatories; phenolics.
The water now has 32x the calcium, 16x the Potassium of Spring Water.
Now full of anti-oxidants; anti-inflammatory; phenolics, we interrupt its return to the underground rivers and tap ~20 gallons a year of this water from each tree, so nature’s well doesn’t run dry.
Harvesting maple water is completely harmless to trees. It promotes responsible forestry and encourages landowners to maintain healthy forests. Maple syrup requires 40 gallons of sap to make 1 gallon of syrup, with our maple sap water we use a 1:1 ratio—making it a more efficient and impactful option for our farm.
